Biography

JUNIOR (2010): Sat out 2010 season due to injury.

SOPHOMORE (2009): Martson did a little bit of everything in 2009, tying career highs in kills, assists and service aces while posting a new highs in digs and blocks… Notched 22 kills, four assists, four aces, 23 digs and seven blocks in 2009… set season highs in kills (4) and digs (7) against Quincy (3/11/09)… One of only four Red Flash to average a kill per set (1.05).

FRESHMAN (2008): Posted 22 kills, 4 assists, 4 aces, 12 digs and 3 blocks in 2008 campaign… had season/career high 6 kills and 2 blocks at IPFW (4/11/08)… recorded 4 kills, and season/career highs with 2 aces and 3 digs at Loyola (4/12/08).

REDSHIRT (2007): Used his redshirt during 2007 season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Had 755 kills, 100 blocks, and 52 aces while playing at Whitehall H.S… was a 2006 all-Pennsylvania selection, as well as a First Team all-Lehigh Division, and his team’s MVP… was MVP of the 2006 Keystone Games… school record-holder in kills, blocks and aces… was member of the Whitehall Honor Roll every semester.

PERSONAL: SFU Dean’s List spring and fall 2008... SFU Academic Honor Roll student... Elementary Special Education major…son of Cheryl and Rick Martson.
