Before SFU: Gatti is a familiar name for Red Flash fans since her sister AnnaMarie Gatti is the Saint Francis pitching coach. Gatti will bring a similar hardworking attitude to the circle. She hails from an athletic family with AnnaMarie playing softball at Syracuse, her father played football at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and several cousins played collegiate sports. Recently, she joined the Firecrackers U18 Team.

O'Donnell on Gatti: "Sophia brings such positive energy to everything she does and that is the staple for what we preach on a daily basis. She will add depth, as well as, a different look to our pitching circle, while also bringing a fearless attitude. Sophia has a passion for SFU athletics and is also the younger sister of Assistant Coach, AnnaMarie Gatti. We are lucky to have Sophia on board with us here at Saint Francis and can't wait to see what she can do."
