Book Loan Program

<< Back to STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT

  • Any student-athlete receiving athletic aid from the Department of Athletics is eligible to receive used books from the Student-Athlete Development Center.
  • Books will be made available to these student-athletes during the first week of each semester on a first come, first serve basis.
  • All books MUST be returned to the Student-Athlete Development Center at the end of the semester.
  • Student-athletes are required to buy any book that they do not return to the Center at the used book cost determined by the Saint Francis University Bookstore.
  • Books are to be returned by each student-athlete IN-PERSON to the Student-Athlete Development Center once he/she has completed his/her academic course and semester requirements.
  • Essentially, books are due before student-athletes leave campus in December and May for their semester breaks.
  • All books MUST be stamped with “Property of SFU Athletics” prior to being checked out from the Student-Athlete Development Center.
  • Student-athletes are permitted to write in and highlight the material in the books loaned to them however DELIBERATE destruction or misuse of the Book Loan Program (providing books for student-athletes not receiving scholarship aid) may result in loss of athletic privileges and/or participation.
  • A student-athlete who drops a course must return the textbook(s) to the Student-Athlete Development Center within two scholastic days from the schedule change.
