BEFORE SFU - Started playing tennis when she was five years old. Zoubareva started playing in USTA tournaments at the age of 10. By the time she was 16 years old she was already ranked No. 38 in Chicago and No. 167 in the Midwest. At 18 years old, she climbed to No. 26 in the state, No. 62 in the Midwest and No. 366 in the US. Zoubareva trains several hours a day, five days a week at the prestigious College Park Athletic Club. 

PERSONAL -  Her parents are Natasha and Paul Zoubarev and she has two sisters, Nadia and Sasha. Zoubareva will be studying Engineering while at SFU.
