LORETTO, Pa. – Running backs
Byron Johnson (Germantown, Md./Northwest) and
Jymere Jordan-Toney (Philadelphia, Pa./Franklin) each scored three touchdowns as the Saint Francis football team earned a 78-0 win over University of Faith on Saturday at DeGol Field. The Red Flash gained 559 total yards on 63 plays in the victory.
The Red Flash finish non-conference play next week as they travel to East Tennessee State for a 1 p.m. Kickoff. The Buccaneers are 0-4 this season.
SFU gained 349 yards on the ground and 210 through the air. Quarterback
Zack Drayer (Hershey, Pa./Hershey ) completed 9-of-14 passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns.
Jordan-Toney led the Red Flash with 216 yards and three scores on 15 carries, including touchdown runs of one yard, five yards and 47 yards. He also had rushes of 42 and 56 yards. Johnson had 52 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries, while
Alek Schultz (Herndon, Va./Oak Crest) gained 58 yards on eight carries. Sophomore
Marcus Bagley (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) had two first quarter touchdown runs.
Senior
William Martin (Burlington, N.J./Burlington Twp. ) had two touchdown catches with receptions of 32 and 43 yards.
Daniel Adams (Washington, D.C./Northwestern) also had a 25-yard touchdown catch.
The Red Flash held University of Faith to 222 total yards and nine first downs. The Glory Eagles gained 169 yards passing and 53 rushing. SFU forced five turnovers.
Robert Miller (Coral Springs, Fla./Taravella) had two interceptions, while
Delondo Boyd (Indian Head, Md./Henry E. Lackey) and DaShaun Dixon-Roberts each had one.
James-Nii Lartey (Bristow, Va./Fork Union Military Academy) forced a fumble on a third-quarter sack and the ball was recovered by
Abu Fofanah (Westminster, Md./Westminster).
Freshman
Marcus Galie (Upper St. Clair, Pa./Upper St. Clair) led the defense with eight tackles, including two for loss, while
Zane Stewart (Chambersburg, Pa./Chambersburg) had five stops, including three for loss.
Roberto Harris-Barron (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic),
Max Ma'afala-Maiava (Pearl City, Hawaii/Aiea ),
Semo Sila (Honolulu, Hawaii /Farrington) and Stewart each recorded sacks.
Kicker
Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) converted on all 10 extra points and Sila converted on a two-point conversion run in the first quarter.
Saint Francis scored 29 points in the opening quarter, with one-yard and 18-yard touchdown runs by Bagley, a 32-yard catch by Martin and a one-yard rush by Johnson.
The Red Flash added two more scores in the second quarter on a 47-yard run by Jordan-Toney and a 43-yard reception by Martin.
After three quarters, SFU led 57-0 after a 25-yard catch by Adams and a five-yard run by Jordan-Toney. The final three touchdowns came in the fourth quarter on a one-yard run by Jordan-Toney and three and five yard rushes by Johnson.
