On the first day of competition at the 2013 Northeast Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship, Ryan Steinbugl earned a win in the pole vault with a mark of 4.70 meters. The freshman shattered his previous record of 4.55 meters from earlier this season to set a new Saint Francis indoor record. The Saint Francis U men's track and field team went on to finish 10th overall in the championship standings.
