Devin Sweetney Profiled On NBA Draft Prospect Site RookieWall.com

LORETTO, Pa. (April 20, 2010) - Devin Sweetney (Washington, DC /Riverdale Baptist) (Washington, D.C./Riverdale Baptist) has long been a known commodity around the Northeast Conference; his displays of strength and athleticism earned him two postseason All-NEC honors (All-Rookie Team in 2006-07, First-Team All-NEC in 2009-10) and caused headaches for opposing coaches.

Now, it seems that Sweetney's name may work its way into the minds of NBA executives.

Sweetney was recently profiled on RookieWall.com, a website dedicated to highlighting and writing features on NBA rookies, as well as prospects preparing to play in the NBA.  According to the article, Sweetney is training with Joe Connelly, a trainer who has worked with NBA players such as Gilbert Arenas and Juan Dixon.

According to Connelly, Sweetney is attractive to NBA teams for several reasons; he is considered a strong defender, as well as very coachable and willing to work hard to improve his game.  Connelly also mentions Sweetney's high moral character as factor.

The article also features an interview with Sweetney, who tells of his high school and AAU basketball career playing against the likes of current NBA stars Kevin Durant, Ty Lawson, and Jeff Green; where Sweetney has been told which position to which he would project in the NBA; and current NBA players to which Sweetney compares himself.
