Red Flash Excited About New Recruits in 2009

Loretto, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's volleyball team announced the signing of three worthy apprentices for the 2009 season.  All three spikers are native to Pennsylvania and are familiar with Red Flash volleyball.

Ryan Williams, a 6'3 setter from McKees Rock, Pa., is in his senior season at Montour High School.  His lofty frame will play an essential role for the Beaver Valley Premiere Club Team, as well as earning a spot on the USA A2 squad.  The aforementioned troop competes all across the country against the likes of top-tiered teams from Florida, California, etc.

Making a charge for an operative role at the Libero position next winter, John Wappler will journey to Loretto from North Allegheny Senior High School.  The 5'9 Wappler is a component of the Pittsburgh United club team and will push any starting member of the Flash at Libero next year.

Hailing from Aliquippa, Pa., Mike McLaughlin hopes his 6'4 will make an immediate impact at DeGol Arena in 2009.  A senior at Hopewll High School, McLaughlin utilizes his prowess at outside hitter for the BVP Club Team.

Saint Francis begins their 2008 slate with a home contest against Rutgers (Newark) on January 11 at 7:00pm.
