Red Flash Men’s Volleyball Makes A Quick Match Of D’Youville

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Brady Stump led Saint Francis with 10 kills.  
>> Kyle Charles recorded 25 assists.  
>> The Red Flash kept D'Youville to a .059 hitting percentage.  
>> Saint Francis beat the Saints twice (25-19, 25-14, 25-19).

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
With just a small lead in the first set, the Red Flash went on a 4-0 run to expand their lead. The Saints had a service error right before Sam Lane and Charles had a duo block. Then Stump had back-to-back kills that were set up by Charles. Stump also grabbed the final kill to give Saint Francis the first set. The momentum stayed on the Red Flash's side for the rest of the game to win 3-0 again.  

FLASH MOMENTS 
In the second set, the Red Flash went on a nice little 9-1 run to push the score to 12-3. The Saints had four different attacking, serving, and setting errors. Cole Dorn registered two kills, and Nathan Zini grabbed one kill. Brayden Gall and Dorn threw in a duo block to give Saint Francis its 10th point. Freshman Luke Colquette recorded the 25th point to claim the second set.  

Early in the third set, the Red Flash went on a final run to help them secure victory. Dorn played a significant role in this run with three kills and an assisted block. Gall was the other player that aided in the duo block. Charles, Stump, and Jack Wolgemuth all assisted Dorn's kills. Charles grabbed a point from behind the service line.  

FLASH NUGGETS
Stump, a two-time NEC Player of the Week, ended the afternoon with 10 kills, two digs, and an ace.  

Charles tossed in 25 assists, four digs, an ace, two kills, and a .500 hitting percentage.  

Lane threw in five assisted blocks, three kills, an assist, and .600 hitting percentage.  

Dorn recorded nine kills, five digs, and five assisted blocks.  

NEXT ON TAP
Saint Francis will be back home next Friday and Saturday to face FDU and honor all the seniors. The first serve will be at 6:00 p.m. and the second will be at 4:00 p.m.
