LORETTO, Pa. (Feb. 12, 2010) – The Saint Francis men's tennis team took a match from the Bucknell Bison, but fell overall by a score of 6-1 on Friday in Ebensburg.
Jordan Kowalski (Byran, NJ/Lenape Valley Regional) (Byram, N.J./Lenape Valley Regional) defeated Bucknell's Josh Katten at No. 3 singles to claim the Red Flash's lone win of the day.
Elahn Pogue (Saint Catherines, Ontario/West Park Secondary) and Nathaniel Fleming (Gas City, Ind./Mississinewa) fell at No. 1 doubles to Anton Kovic and Gregg Cohenca 8-4.
Kowalski and
Andres Rosa (Carolina, Puerto Rico/Colegio la Piedad) (Carolina, Puerto Rico/Colegio di Piedad) were defeated by Clark Bogle and Josh Katten at No. 2 doubles.
Kovic defeated Pogue at No. 1 doubles 3-6, 7-5, 6-3, while Cohenca earned the win over Stephen Child (Lancaster, Pa./Lancaster County Day) at No. 2 doubles.
The Red Flash will take on George Mason on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
