Junior Raquel Rugani (Montour, PA/Montour) (McKees Rocks, Pa. / Montour) led off the sixth inning with a single, and pinch-runner Layne moved to second when sophomore Paige Smith (Saugus, Calif./Valencia) (Saugus, Calif. / Valencia) was hit by a pitch. Darneille moved the runners up with a sacrifice bunt, and Miller plated them with a single to make it 3-0.
