Red Flash Face Stern Conference Test In Robert Morris

LORETTO, Pa. (Sept. 29, 2010) - Coming off an exciting 41-0 shutout of Sacred Heart to open their conference schedule, the Saint Francis football team will face one of their toughest tests of the season when the Robert Morris Colonials travel to Loretto to take on the Red Flash on Oct. 2 at DeGol Field.

The Colonials, 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the Northeast Conference, are coming off a dominant 30-9 victory over the Wagner Seahawks on NEC-TV.  Robert Morris trailed Wagner 9-0 at halftime, but scored 30 unanswered points to seal the win.  This, one week after they stunned the then-#15 Liberty Flames 30-22 in Moon Township, a win that earned Robert Morris votes in The Sports Network/Fathead.com Top-25 Poll.

The Red Flash, of course, also recorded a dominant win on NEC-TV, kicking off the conference's television slate with a 41-0 win over Sacred Heart.  There has been two weeks to prepare for the Colonials, with SFU head coach Chris Villarrial stressing to his team to get back to basics in preparation for the game.

Live stats and live video will be available from DeGol Field, and of course you can follow Dr. Pat Farabaugh and Jay Roberts as they give you the game action live on The Edge 1400 AM and The Edge 850 AM.

Tickets for the game are available at the gates.  Admission costs $8 for adults and $4 for children.
