OLEAN, N.Y. (Feb. 13, 2011) – The Saint Francis men's tennis team suffered a tough, 7-0, defeat this time at the hands of a very strong St. Bonaventure team on Sunday.
Steve Kowalski and
Andres Rosa (Carolina, Puerto Rico/Colegio la Piedad) teamed up against Javier Ortiz and Oscar Yanez to post the closest doubles match of the day. Down only one break (5-6), the SFU duo was able to hold to tie the set at 6-6 before succumbing, 8-6.
While the much larger Bona squad swept singles completion in straight sets, Nathaniel Fleming put up the strongest fight at No. 4 singles against Elliot Farshel by fell 6-3, 6-3.
The Red Flash visit IPFW on Friday to take on the Mastodons at 9 a.m.
