OLEAN, N.Y. (Feb. 12, 2011) – The Saint Francis women's tennis team absorbed a, 7-0, defeat at the hands of St. Bonaventure on Sunday as their tough start continued.
“At this point, it is about maintaining a positive attitude and focusing on our goal to compete in our conference,” said first year head coach Paul Tobin. “The women are playing some tough competition right now but, despite the outcome, we'll be better prepared to compete in the NEC when the time comes.”
The Red Flash fell in an 0-1 hole after double competition and were swept in straight sets by the Bonnies in singles play. St. Bonaventure improved to 2-3 with the victory, while the Flash dropped to 0-6.
Saint Francis will take on Chicago State at 7 p.m. on Friday in a neutral site match at IPFW.
