Women's tennis struggles at George Mason

DUMFRIES, Va. (Feb. 13, 2011) – The Red Flash women's tennis team struggled in a tough road match at George Mason on Saturday, falling to the Patriots, 7-0, at the Monclair Country Club on Saturday.

The match was the first of a two-stop weekend road trip that wraps up at St. Bonaventure on Sunday.

“Our women had a hard time against this Mason team which is coming off a great 2010 season,” said Saint Francis head coach Paul Tobin. “Despite the loss, we can gain valuable experience that will help us against our conference lineup.”

The Patriots swept through both doubles and singles competition as they improved to 6-3 on the season. The Red Flash, on the other hand, fell to 0-5 on the young season.

Sunday's contest against the Bonnies will get underway at 9 a.m.
