LORETTO, Pa. (July 22, 2011) –
Kyle Harbridge (Easton, Pa./Easton Area) of the Saint Francis University football team earned a spot on the College Football Performance Award's Kickoff Returner Watch List.
Harbridge, who was recently named to Phil Steele's Preseason All-Northeast team, returns to Lorettto for his junior season as one of the Red Flashes' top offensive threats. The Easton, Pa. native averaged over 25 yards a return a season ago and posted a season high 103 return yards Sept. 11 at Moorehead State. Harbridge totaled more than 120 all-purpose yards in six of his seven games and broke the 200 all-purpose yard mark twice. The junior posted a season high 214 all-purpose yards Sept. 4 at Liberty, which finished the 2011 season ranked 19th nationally.
Following his performance at Moorehead Sate, Harbridge received Northeast Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Harbridge also averaged 84.7 yards of totals offense per game more than a third of the team's total production per contest.
Saint Francis opens the 2011 season Sept. 3 in Staten Island, N.Y. against the Wagner and the Red Flash begin their home slate Sept. 17 against Moorehead State with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
