LORETTO, Pa. (June 18, 2012) –
Josh Thiel (Leesburg, Va./Heritage) of the Saint Francis University football team earned a spot on the College Football Performance Awards Place Kicker Watch List, Monday.
Thiel enters his senior season as one of the top place kickers in school history. Thiel currently sits in the top five in school history in points, field goals made and field goals attempted. The senior from Leesburg, Va. set single-season school records in 2011 for field goals made and extra points. The following week he surpassed that mark setting a new record with a 47-yard connection against Monmouth.
Thiel becomes the third Red Flash football player to be named to a College Football Performance Awards Watch List joining

Kyle Harbridge (Easton, Pa./Easton Area), who was place on the running back list. The Red Flash football team opens the season. Sept. 1 with a road game at James Madison.
