LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 24, 2013) – The Saint Francis U men's volleyball team looks to bounce back this weekend as they open their Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) conference schedule on Friday evening.
The Red Flash will take on Harvard first at 7 p.m. The Crimson are off to a hot start as they have earned two wins without losing a single set. Friday's match will be featured live and free on NEC Front Row.
SFU will take on Sacred Heart on Saturday evening. The Pioneers have struggled so far in 2013 as they are still searching for their first win after three contests.
Saint Francis was led on the offensive end by
Colin Sherwin (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) and
Logan Patterson (Derry, Pa./Derry Area). Sherwin posted 11 kills against Loyola Chicago and 16 kills against No. 12 Lewis. Patterson notched 14 kills against Lewis and 15 kills against No. 11 Ohio State.
Nick Bancroft (Centerville, Pa./Maplewood) led SFU on the defensive end as he posted a career-high 19 digs against Ohio State on Sunday.
