BEDMINSTER, N.J. (Oct. 21, 2013) – The Saint Francis University men's golf team posted a seventh place finish out of 15 teams at the Barnabas Health Intercollegiate held by Seton Hall University.
Chris Stricek (Binghamton, N.Y./Windsor) led the Red Flash with a 19th place finish after shooting a 151 (79-72).
Kevin Fawcett (London, Ontario, Canada/Oakridge Secondary) and
Shane Crampton (London, Ontario, Canada/Saunders Secondary) each placed tied for 23rd place after each shot a 152 (77-75).
Jeff Chastel (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) was next on the leaderboard for SFU in a tie for 41st, the senior shot a 157 (76-81).
Edward Maruca (Ebensburg, Pa./Central Cambria) finished up the players in the field for Saint Francis, the sophomore posted a 159 (83-76), good for a 49th place finish.
Minnesota won the tournament with a five-under score of 571 (291-280). SFU finished with a 607 (309-298).
With the tournament, Saint Francis concludes its 2013 fall schedule. The Frankies will look to defend their Northeast Conference Championship in the spring from a season ago.
