Saint Francis Men's Golf Set To Compete At The Mountaineer Invitational At Pete Dye

OPENING TEE

Saint Francis men's golf will be teeing off at the Mountaineer Invitational at Pete Dye on Monday and Tuesday in Bridgeport, W. Va. Golfers will complete two rounds on Monday followed by one round on Tuesday. Competing for the Red Flash will be Toby Webb, Hunter Jurica, Trent Meyers, Nick Haught, and Tanner Mona. At this event there will be three teams that are within the top 10 including #5 Arkansas, #6 Oklahoma State, and #8 Texas Tech. Along with these three teams and the Red Flash, Western Kentucky, William and Mary, UNCG, James Madison, Virginia Commonwealth, Ball State, Clemson, George Mason, Villanova, Texas Christian, Xavier, Appalachian State, Baylor, U.S. Naval Academy,  and host West Virginia will also be making their way to the tee box.

LAST TIME OUT 
Hunter Jurica led the way for Saint Francis after finishing the two-round event in 38th with a total score of 155. The junior shot a 77 (+7) on the first 18 followed by a 78 (+8) on the second round. Jurica tallied 15 pars and four birdies on the day. Toby Webb finished the event in 53rd place. Webb jumped nine places following the second round. The senior shot a two-round score of 159. He recorded 14 pars and four birdies. Trent Meyers came out of the invitational with a 56th place finish. The junior shot a combined two-round score of 160. Meyers marked his scorecard with 17 pars and three birdies. Also competing for the Red Flash was Isaac Miller (69th place, 169) and Bryce VanHorn (70th place, 179). The top five teams of the Columbia Spring Invitational include Drexel (590), Penn (593), Manhattan (603), and a three way tie at 604 between Fordham, Le Moyne, and Siena. The Red Flash finished in 12th place.

NEXT TIME ON THE GREEN 
On Monday, April 20th, the Red Flash A team will compete at the Muirfield Shootout hosted by Miami (Ohio), at Country Club at Muirfield Village. The Red Flash B team will compete at the Penn State Altoona Spring Invitational hosted by Penn State Altoona at the Sinking Valley Golf Club. At both events, teams will play a total of 36 holes.
 

NEW TO THE LO'
Saint Francis added Lorenzo Domiano, Nick Haught, Caden Miller, Joey Miller, and Isaac Miller to the 2025-2026 roster.  
 

THIRD YEAR ON DUTY 
Coach Jonathan Kulas returns to the Red Flash for his third year. Kulas spent two seasons at Saint Peter's and was also the head coach at Penn State Scranton from 2019-21. Kulas was an assistant coach for both the men's and women's golf programs at Misericordia University for 11 seasons and got his start in coaching as a women's basketball assistant coach at Marywood University for the 2015-16 season.
