Wert Named Track and Field Graduate Assistant

LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 8, 2014) - Saint Francis University track & field head coach Douglas Hoover announced the hiring of Brady Wert as the team's graduate assistant.
 
I'm excited to welcome Coach Wert to our program," said Hoover. "He brings a diverse background as a decathlete and is an experienced and passionate coach. I'm confident that he is going to do good things for our student-athletes."
 
Wert comes to Loretto after competing and coaching at Slippery Rock for the past six years. He graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in May of 2011 where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing. After graduating Wert remained at Slippery Rock as a volunteer coach for the track and field team.
 
While at Slippery Rock, Wert coached four All America athletes, three individual PSAC Champions, one team PSAC Championship, three PSAC Runner-Up teams, and two individual runner-ups.
 
As a division II athlete on the Slippery Rock track and field team, Wert was a three time NCAA Qualifier, part of three PSAC Championships, and also a three time PSAC Champion. In 2010, Wert held the Heptathlon record at Slippery Rock. Wert earned six All-Conference Honors during his college career.
