The Red Flash jumped on host North Carolina A&T early, posting innings of five, four and three runs in its first three at-bats. In the five-run first, Bower singled home Lindsey Reid (Bear, Del./Caravel Academy) and Davina Kachnovitz (Bear, Del./Glasgow) to make it 2-0. With two outs in the inning and two runners on, Kate Blattenberger (Martinsburg, Pa./Central) hit a three-run bomb to left to make it 5-0.
