Colin Sherwin (Greensburg, Pa./Greater Latrobe) had a kill to make it 14-12 Flash in game two, and Beatty added two straight points to make it 16-13, but NJIT fought back with a 7-1 run to take a 20-17 lead. Marshman added two kills in the next three points to cut the deficit to two points, but SFU couldn't overcome the deficit. Sherwin finished with eight kills.

NJIT broke open a 6-6 third set with a 4-0 run as it never looked back in the game. SFU would not trail by less than three points throughout the rest of the third game, but Adam Barba (Meadville, Pa./Meadville) finished with four kills in the Flash's final seven points.
