LORETTO, Pa. (Jan. 7, 2015) – The Saint Francis University Marching Band completed another successful season with over 25 appearances across Pennsylvania and Ohio in just 15 weeks.  The band appeared at high school exhibitions, local parades, home football games, basketball games, other campus events, professional sporting events and even performed in a parade with "The Real Life Batman."
 
As one marching season comes to a close, preparations for the next season get underway.  On December 1, 2014 students wishing to lead the SFU Marching Band as next year's drum majors went through an audition process in which conducting style, marching technique, and leadership capabilities were assessed.  The two students selected for next year's honor are Erin Sager () and Allison Randolph (). 
 
Erin is a senior Physician Assistant Sciences major, played tuba and served as drum major for the 2014 season.  Allison is a junior trombone player who is an early childhood and special education major.       
 
"Each year our marching band has made great strides forward, and it is due in no small part to the contributions made by our student leadership team," said Director of Bands, Dan Atwood.  "I can't tell you how excited I am to have Erin returning as drum major so she can continue to build upon the success she had this past season, and I know Allison is going to hit the ground running next season. 
 
"Both of these students are very motivated and driven young ladies and I look forward to seeing the improvements they will bring to the University Bands program."
