BOX SCORE LORETTO, Pa. –
Hannah Kutny (Clifton Park, N.Y./Catholic Central) had a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs but the Saint Francis Red Flash dropped a 3-1 decision to the Saint Francis Brooklyn Terriers on Saturday at DeGol Arena.

Amelia Metzler (Littleton, Colo./Chatfield) finished with a game-high 33 assists, while
Jenna Veres (Independence, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) added 15 digs for the Red Flash.

In a back-and-fourth first set, the Terriers went on a 3-0 run to go ahead, 6-5. SFBK scored four unanswered to go up 10-5. After a Saint Francis timeout, the Red Flash stopped the Terriers run off of a SFBK services error. The Terriers closed out the first set scoring five of the last six points to down the Flash, 25-17. The match saw one lead change and four ties.

SFBK controlled much of the second match. The Terriers started the game up 2-0. After a back-and-fourth call, the Flash was awarded a point after the ball ricochet off of a basketball hoop, and the Red Flash closed to gap to 5-4.The Red Flash's rally was stopped short, as SFBK went on a four-point run. The Terriers once again finished the match strong to go up 2-0.

Saint Francis looked like a rejuvenated team coming off the break in the third set.
Emily Marcinowski (Strongsville, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) and Kutny set the tone in the third set, jumping out to an early 6-4 lead. The Flash kept pouring it on, and went on three different scoring runs to win the second set, 25-22.

In set four, a 7-2 by Saint Francis Brooklyn broke the set open. Marcinowski had a pair of kills as a part of a four-point run by the Flash that pulled SFU within four at 12-8. But their comeback fell short, as the Terriers went on to win 25-21.

The Red Flash look to rebound tomorrow against the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds at 1 p.m.
