EBENSBURG, Pa. – The Saint Francis U men's tennis team put on a show in its only match this season at the Ebensburg Tennis Center, dropping Wagner, 5-2.
The Red Flash jumped out to an early lead by grabbing the coveted doubles point. Â Although it's No. 1 pairing fell, the tandems of
Sergio Carvajal (Nueva Esparta, Venezuela/U.E. Fray Elias Maria Sendra)/
Chris Jimenez (Bayside, N.Y./St. Francis Preparatory) and
Lawson Barter (Chicago, Ill./Loyola)/
Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) came through in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots.
In singles play, Saint Francis won four of the six possible points to clinch its first Northeast Conference victory of the campaign.

Washi Gervais (Longueuil, Quebec/College Stanislas) and
Rodrigo Tico (Guadalajara, Mexico/Colegio de Bachilleres) put the Seahawks on the ropes from the start, while
Chris Jimenez (Bayside, N.Y./St. Francis Preparatory) finished the job with a 6-3, 6-1 romp at No. 4.
For good measure, Flash No. 6,
Eli Cerdan (Bloomfield, N.J. /Saint Mary High School), trounced his opposition with a, 6-4, 6-2 decision.
Saint Francis is back in action on March 27. Â They'll play FDU.
