LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis football team earned seven slots on the USA College Football Preseason All-America Team, announced this week by the organization. The Red Flash had four members on the first team: senior running back
Khairi Dickson (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic), junior defensive back
Lorenzo Jerome (Sunrise, Fla./J.P. Taravella), junior punter
Zack Drayer (Hershey, Pa./Hershey ) and junior kicker
Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley). Senior wide receiver
Anthony Abeid (Youngstown, Ohio/Youngstown Christian), junior offensive lineman
Jimmy Marks (Middletown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) were named to the second team. Jerome was also named to the second team as a return specialist.
Â
Dickson, the reigning NEC Offensive Player of the Year led the FCS in rushing from wire-to-wire during the 2014 regular season. He rushed for more than 100 yards in each of the Red Flash's first seven games and nine in total. He finished the season with 1,708 yards, a new Saint Francis record and the fifth-highest total in the history of the NEC. Dickson also led the NEC with 12 rushing touchdowns. He was also an All-NEC First Team selection.
Â
Jerome was All-NEC First Team last year with 16 total passes defended as a sophomore, second-most in the NEC. Jerome also intercepted three passes from his safety position while recording 7.2 tackles per game, ninth-most in the NEC. Fifty of his 79 tackles were solo stops, best on the team. As a returner, Jerome averaged 20.7 yards per kick return (second in the NEC) and 11.3 yards per punt return. He also had a 52-yard punt return for a touchdown against Bryant in October. The Flash was the top punt return team in the league in 2014.
Â
Drayer, who also serves as the team's quarterback, averaged 37.8 yards per punt, best in the conference. He had a long of 54 yards while pinning 10 inside the opponents' 20 to just four touchbacks. Geesey had the best season for a Red Flash kicker in school history in 2014. The redshirt sophomore made 18-of-22 field goal attempts, easily the most in the conference and fourth most in the FCS. The 18 makes were easily a school record, shattering the 11 he made last season to tie Josh Thiel. He also led the NEC in field goal percentage, converting on 81.8 percent of his kicks. Drayer and Geesey were both All-NEC First Team picks in 2014.
Â
Abeid finished the season with 28 receptions for 497 yards and seven touchdowns to earn All-NEC Second Team honors. Abeid was a College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Honorable Mention for his eight catches for 189 yards and two touchdowns at Wagner, and he won NEC Offensive Player of the Week honors for his three catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns at No. 22 Sacred Heart.
Â
Marks helped pave the way for the top rushing attack in the Northeast Conference. Saint Francis averaged 208.8 yards per game on the ground, a full 29 yards ahead of the next closest NEC team. Saint Francis also led the NEC in scoring as the only NEC school to average more than 30 points per game (32.2/game).

The Flash opens the season against Georgetown on Sept. 5 at DeGol Field.
