Tennis Hosting Buddy Up Tennis Clinic Before Saturday Matches

LORETTO, Pa. - The Saint Francis men's and women's tennis teams are partnering with "Buddy Up Tennis" for a clinic before their matches on Saturday.  The clinic will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at The Club Sport and Health in Monroeville, Pa.  Members of the Carnegie Mellon women's team will also participate in the clinic.

"Buddy Up Tennis" is an organization that gives individuals with Down syndrome the opportunity to learn the sport of tennis and participate in fitness activities in a supportive environment.  Players, Coaches and the Buddies work to have a fun experience, build confidence and develop life skills on and off the court.

"The Buddy Up Tennis clinics are a wonderful experience," said Head Coach Rob Castille. "I've worked with them for several years and I am excited to get the opportunity to help out again and even more excited that both of my teams get a chance to work with these amazing athletes. This is something that I truly believe that we, as volunteers, get more out of than the athletes."
