LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis men's and women's tennis teams wrap up the regular season on the road this weekend. On Friday, the teams battle NEC foe Wagner, with the women's team playing at 10 a.m. and the men's team playing at 3 p.m. On Saturday, the teams have a doubleheader, playing St. Francis Brooklyn in an NEC match in the first match and finishing against Hofstra in the second match.
The Saint Francis men's team is 9-8 this season, including 1-0 in the NEC, after falling 5-2 in matches against Northern Kentucky and Dayton last weekend.
Senior
Washi Gervais (Longueuil, Quebec/College Stanislas) leads the Red Flash with 11 singles wins this spring, all at No. 1. Junior
Plamen Avuski (Plovdiv, Bulgaria /Math High School ) has 10 dual match wins and 15 wins combined between the fall and spring.
Freshman
Jan Vit Suntar (Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia/Gimnazija Kranj) has 10 victories this spring, while sophomore
Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) has eight.
In doubles, Foo-Kune and Gervais have paired up for 11 wins at the top spot, while Avuski and Suntar are 13-4 splitting time at No. 2 and 3.
The Wagner men's team is 7-10 overall and 1-2 in the NEC. St. Francis Brooklyn is 0-10 this year with a 0-1 mark in conference play. Hofstra has a 10-4 record.
The Red Flash women's team is 4-13, with a 1-0 conference mark. Last weekend, SFU dropped a 6-1 decision to Wright State and a 4-2 result against Dayton.
Senior
Dani Gryckiewicz (Calgary, Alberta/Calgary Academy) leads the Red Flash with eight wins this spring. Freshman

Rafaela Panizza (Jundiai, Brazil) and Plaszewski have combined for six wins at No. 1 doubles, while Miller and junior
Brittini Jentz (Plano, Texas/Ursuline Academy of Dallas) are 5-5 and Bode and Gryckiewicz have paired for four wins.
The Wagner women's team has a 7-4 overall mark, including a 2-1 conference record. St. Francis Brooklyn is 0-10, with a 0-2 record in the NEC. Hofstra is 10-5 overall.
