LORETTO, Pa. – The fourth-seeded Saint Francis men's volleyball team takes on the second-seeded George Mason Patriots in the EIVA Championship on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Rec Hall.

ABOUT THE FLASH
Â
The Flash earned their way into the EIVA Championship match with a 3-1 win against top-seeded Penn State on Thursday night. After falling behind one set to none, SFU came back to win three-straight sets.
Jeff Hogan (Northern Cambria, Pa./Northern Cambria) led the Flash with a match-high 22 kills.
Mike Marshman (Glenmont, N.Y./Bethlehem Central) added 11 kills and six totals blocks.
Daniel Ford (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) recorded 47 assists, while
Gabe Woffindin (Allentown, Pa./William Allen) registered 12 digs.

Saint Francis is making its first appearance in the EIVA Tournament since losing to Penn State in 2007.Â

ABOUT THE PATRIOTS

The second-seed George Mason dominated the third-seed Harvard, 3-0. Christian Malias powered Mason with a match-high 11 kills, six digs and a .714 hitting percentage. The Patriots continue to play their best volleyball of the season. GMU is currently riding an eight-game winning streak, and have won 12 of their last 13 matches. Saint Francis and George Mason split the season series 1-1.

GMU will be making their second consecutive appearance in the EIVA Championship and their third since 2008. George Mason fell to Penn State in last years final, 0-3.Â

WHAT'S AT STAKE
Â
The winner of Saturday's match gets an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. It will be Saint Francis' first-ever appearance to the NCAA Tournament, and George Mason's first since 1988.
