At the No. 3 position, junior Brittini Jentz (Plano, Texas/Ursuline Academy of Dallas) and freshman Stephanie Miller (Washington, D.C./St. John's College High School) met Stefanie Arroyo and Linnea Sjoberg.  The SFU pair dropped a 6-1 decision.

The match at No. 2 was stopped after Bryant clinched the doubles point.  Freshman Raksha Bode (Reunion, Fla./Florida Virtual School) and senior Dani Gryckiewicz (Calgary, Alberta/Calgary Academy) were tied 3-3 with Bryant's Ashanti Campfield and Nina Luiggi when the match was stopped.

At No. 5, Miller took on Campfield.  The Red Flash rookie fell 6-2, 6-0.

Gryckiewicz faced Bryant's Arroyo at the sixth spot.  The SFU senior was downed 6-3, 6-2.

The matches at the top three positions were stopped when the match point was clinched.

At the top spot, Panizza fell 6-3 in the first set, but was leading 4-3 against Brown in the second set when her match was stopped.

Plaszewski dropped her first set, 6-4, against Sjoberg at No. 2, but bounced back to claim the second set, 6-3.  Plaszewski was down 3-0 in the deciding set when it was halted.

Bode competed at No. 3 against Bryant's Bouillin.  The SFU freshman was trailing 6-3, 6-6(3-5), when the match was stopped.

"I am definitely disappointed we weren't able to get the job done today," said Head Coach Rob Castille. "I think we were a little flat and a little drained because of yesterday's match. The girls kept trying to get going and kept fighting but it just wasn't our day."

"Bryant is a well-coached team with great depth. Their girls compete hard and we knew we needed to be at our best to win. It just didn't happen today. I'm proud of the progress this team made this year and the direction this program is heading."
