LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis football team travels to Albany on Saturday for the final game of a four-game road trip to start the season. The Great Danes are ranked 22nd in the STATS FCS Poll. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium. The game will be available on a Live Stream on Great Dane TV.

The Red Flash earned its first win of the season last week in a 13-9 victory at Columbia. Senior kicker
Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) hit field goals from 28 and 48 yards in the first half and SFU expanded its lead to 13-3 on a 72-yard connection between senior quarterback
Zack Drayer (Hershey, Pa./Hershey ) and sophomore wideout
Kamron Lewis (Fresno, Calif./Edison).

Junior running back
Marcus Bagley (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) ran for a career-high 220 yards on 33 carries, including four runs over 15 yards. Bagley's 220 yards are the most in a game by an FCS player this season. For his efforts, Bagley was named NEC Offensive Player of the Week and was an honorable mention STATS FCS National Player of the Week selection.Â

Senior linebacker
Solomon Leaeno (Kapolei, Hawaii/James Campbell) led the SFU defense with 10 tackles, including four solo, 2.5 sacks and a fumble recovery. Freshman linebacker
Da'Jon Lee (Fairfax, Va./Robinson) added nine tackles, with six solo, three for loss, a sack and a forced fumble. Junior defensive end
Shawn McCord (Aberdeen, N.J. /Red Bank Catholic) had his first career interception. SFU allowed only 266 total yards, including giving up only 112 passing yards against the Lions.

Saint Francis is averaging 24 points per game and 313.7 total yards per contest. The Red Flash is averaging 157.3 passing yards and 156.3 rushing yards per game.

With 128 passing yards against Columbia, Drayer now has 3,909 for his career, moving him into fourth place all-time at SFU. Drayer completed 11 passes against the Lions to give him 303 for his career, putting him in fifth place at SFU. On the year, Drayer has completed 53 percent of his passes for 472 yards and five touchdowns as well as two rushing touchdowns.

Bagley ranks third in the FCS with 465 yards and fourth in the nation in rushing yards per game, with 137. The Cleveland native leads the NEC in both categories as well as all-purpose yards per game, with 141. Bagley is averaging five yards per carry.

Through three games, Lewis leads the Red Flash with 234 yards and three touchdowns on 11 catches. He ranks 36th in the FCS and second in the NEC in receiving yards.Â
Junior Ajayi (Delran, N.J./Holy Cross) has a team-best 14 catches for 183 yards and a touchdown.Â

The Red Flash has forced eight turnovers through three games, with four interceptions and four fumble recoveries. SFU has also totaled 22 tackles for loss, including 10 sacks.

Defensively, Jerome leads the team with 25 tackles this year, including 13 solo, one for loss, two interceptions and a fumble recovery. Leaeno has made 24 stops this season, with 13 solo, five for loss, 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.Â

Lee has made an impact early in his Red Flash career, with 20 tackles, six for loss, two sacks and two forced fumbles. McCord is fourth on the team with 18 tackles, including 2.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks, an interception and a pass breakup.Â

With two field goals against Columbia, Geesey has now hit 48 career field goals. He has topped the previous NEC career record, held by Sacred Heart's Chris Rogers (2008-11). However, Geesey is now in a battle for the current record with Duquesne's Austin Crimmins, who has 49 career field goals. Geesey's 48-yarder on Saturday was his eighth field goal of 40 yards or more in his career. The senior has made three field goals this season.

Jerome is averaging 36.8 yards per kick return, good for third in the nation. He is one of eight players in the FCS with a kick return for a touchdown this year. Jerome also has 56 yards on six punt returns, while Lewis has two punt returns for 21 yards.

Albany is 3-0 this year and ranked 22nd in the STATS FCS Poll. The Great Danes defeated Holy Cross, 45-28, last week. They also have wins over Buffalo, an FBS team, and Rhode Island, a fellow Colonial Athletic Association team. Albany is coached by Greg Gattuso, in his third season at the school and his 15th year as a head coach.Â

The Great Danes are averaging 34 points per game and 318.3 total yards per contest, including 119.3 passing yards and 199 rushing yards.Â

Running back Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks, a five-foot-nine, 199-pound sophomore, ranks second in the FCS with 465 rushing yards, just 54 yards ahead of Bagley. The Albany sophomore averages six yards per carry and leads the FCS with eight rushing touchdowns.Â

Sophomore quarterback Neven Sussman has completed 57 percent of his passes for 303 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Tre Roberson is the Great Danes' top receiver with 10 catches for 175 yards and two scores.

Defensively, Albany allows 17 points per game, ranking 14th in the FCS, and 402 total yards per contest, ranking 69th in the nation. The Great Danes allow 226.7 passing yards and 175.3 rushing yards per game.

Linebacker Abner Logan leads Albany with 33 tackles, including 15 solo, two for loss, a sack and a fumble recover. Fellow linebacker Michael Nicastro is right behind him with 31 tackles, including half a tackle for loss, and two interceptions.Â

The defensive line is led by end Malachi Hoskins, who has 17 stops, including two sacks, while the secondary is led by safety Mason Gray, who has 17 tackles with one for loss, two interceptions and a fumble.
