Greg Brown resigns with Campo Mourao of the Brazilian League

Loretto, Pa. -  Former Saint Francis guard Greg Brown has resigned with Campo Mourao of Novo Basquete Brazil, the top basketball league in Brazil. Brown spent the entire 2016-17 season with the club, playing in 32 games and ranking third on the team in scoring at 10.9. ppg.

"Camp Mourao has an outstanding winner and leader," said head coach Rob Krimmel. Greg is a great representative of Campo Mourao on and off the court just as he was for our program. I am sure that played a big part in them resigning him for another year."

Brown was a three-year captain for the Red Flash and a huge part of the program's improvement. The Red Flash won just 15 games over his first two seasons and 29 over his final two. Brown filled the stat sheet as a senior, averaging 12.8 points 3.3 assists and 3.2 rebounds per game. The senior also excelled in the classroom, graduating with a 3.53 GPA in management information systems. He was awarded the Northeast Conference Winter Scholar-Athlete award as well as being named Academic All-District.

Following his senior season, Brown got on the international basketball radar when he suited up for team Munich in the Eurobasket summer league in Portsmouth, Ohio. His performance drew the attention of Campo Mourao, a team located in the south-central part of the country.
