LORETTO, Pa. – After a couple weeks off, the Saint Francis Men's Tennis team resumes Fall play at the USTA/ITA Northeast Regional this weekend, beginning on Wednesday.  The Red Flash will have four representatives compete at the tournament, hosted by Yale.

Saint Francis, led by Head Coach Rob Castille, last competed at the Toledo Invitational.

Sophomore Franz Luna (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Laurel Springs) will compete in the Singles Main Draw this weekend.  He is 2-3 this Fall, with both of his wins coming at the Toledo Invitational, where he competed at No. 1 in the hidden-dual format.  Luna was the NEC Rookie of the Year in 2017, leading the conference with 22 overall singles wins. He will face Fordham's Fabian Mauritzson in the first round, with the winner moving on to battle Harvard's Andy Zhou.

Fellow sophomore Arturo Dell'eva (Verona, Italy/Sanchez Casal Tennis Academy), senior Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) and freshman Charles Morkel (Cape Town, South Africa/Paul Roos Gymnasium) will all compete in the Singles Qualifying Draw, which begins on Wednesday.  They will need to win two matches to advance to the Main Draw.

Dell'eva is 2-1 this Fall after winning two matches at the Toledo Invitational.  He was a Second Team All-NEC selection in 2017.  He will matchup against Army's Joseph Myles Conlin in his opening match of the qualifying draw.

Foo-Kune owns a 4-3 record in tournament play.  He went 3-1 at the Toledo Invitational, playing all of his matches at No. 2.  A two-time All-NEC selection, Foo-Kune was a Second Team pick last Spring.  He will compete against St. John's Ognjen Trejgut in his first match of the qualifying draw.

Morkel is 3-1 this Fall after winning all three matches at the Toledo Invitational.  He competed at No. 2 and 3 at that tournament.  Morkel takes on Army's Greg Shannon in his First Round match.

In doubles, Foo-Kune and Morkel will compete in the Main Draw, which begins play on Thursday.  The duo is 0-3 this Fall but competed well in both of their matches at the Toledo Invitational.  They will compete against Sacred Heart's Seiji Hosokowa and Cory Seltman in a First Round match.
