LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis senior cornerback Malik Duncan (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) has been added to the Buck Buchanan Award Watch List.  The Buck Buchanan Award is presented by STATS FCS to the top defensive player in the FCS. 
 
Duncan is tied for the team lead with three interceptions this season.  He has 31 tackles, 22 solo, four pass breakups, a fumble recovery and a QB hurry in 2017.  Earlier this season, he received an invitation to the FCS Bowl and is on the NFLPA Bowl Watch List.
 
The Cleveland native is tied for fourth all-time at Saint Francis with 29 pass breakups.  He leads all current Saint Francis players with seven career interceptions.  Duncan had his first career pick-six in the Red Flash's opener against Lock Haven this season, a 25-yard return for a touchdown.  Dating back to his sophomore season, Duncan has not allowed a touchdown in 26 straight games.
 
Duncan had an interception, which he returned 22 yards, this past Saturday against Central Connecticut State.  He also had a pick in Saint Francis' 13-7 win at No. 22 Liberty. 
 
He has started all 33 games in the last three seasons and appeared in all 44 games since arriving on campus in 2014.  He has served as a team captain this season.  Duncan was a Second Team All-NEC selection in 2016 and a Preseason All-NEC pick in 2017.
 
Saint Francis hosts Sacred Heart on Saturday in its final home game of the season.  Kickoff is set for Noon on NEC Front Row.  The Red Flash will honor the team's seniors as part of Senior Day.
