The Red Flash, led by Head Coach
Rob Krimmel, is 13-15 overall and 10-7 in NEC play after a 73-64 win over Sacred Heart on Thursday. SFU placed five players in double-figures, with freshman
Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) posting 11 points and 12 rebounds for his eighth double-double this year. SFU is currently in fourth place in the NEC standings, with FDU right behind in fifth place to set up a matchup that will determine important seeding in next week's NEC Tournament.
Fairleigh Dickinson, coached by Greg Herenda, is 11-17 overall and 9-8 in conference play. The Knights fell 77-76 at Robert Morris on Thursday. Juniors Darian Anderson and Stephan Jiggetts each had 17 points to lead FDU.
3-POINT CHALLENGE
Saint Francis men's basketball is participating in the 2017 Coaches vs. Cancer 3-Point Challenge. Fans can support the cause by visiting
here and pledging an amount of money that will be donated for each three the Red Flash makes from February 1-March 5 (eight games). Proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society for research and awareness. SFU is one of several programs around the country participating in the challenge, with the program who raises the most money being crowned the champion of the event.
SENIOR DAY
On Saturday, the Red Flash will celebrate Senior Day as it honors
Georgios Angelou (Halkida, Greece/Lykeio Kanithou) and
Patrick Wrencher (West Chester, Ohio/Archbishop Moeller) for their contributions to the program over the last four years. As a class, the duo has been apart of 52 wins, including 35 NEC victories, the most in any four-year span at SFU since the 1994-98 class had 54 wins. Angelou has 350 career points, appearing in 78 career games, with 90 career threes. Wrencher has appeared in 73 career games, with 104 career points and 87 rebounds. Wrencher is a Psychology major, while Angelou is a double-major in Management and Marketing.
NOTES FROM BRYANT
- Freshman
Keith Braxton (Glassboro, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
- Fellow rookie
Randall Gaskins, Jr. (Woodbridge, Va./Bishop O'Connell (Va.)) led five SFU players in double-figures with 13 points on five-of-nine shooting. He also had four rebounds and two steals.
- Senior
Georgios Angelou (Halkida, Greece/Lykeio Kanithou) had 12 points and seven assists off the bench. Angelou tied a career-high with four threes.
- Sophomore
Josh Nebo (Houston, Texas/Cypress Lakes) had 12 points, nine rebounds and four blocks. He has 69 blocks this season, one away from tying the SFU single-season record held by Melvin Scott (2000-01).
- SFU reached 10 NEC wins for the first time since 2004-05 and has an opportunity to get 11 wins for the first time since 1995-96.
SERIES HISTORY
The Red Flash leads the all-time series, 45-43, against Fairleigh Dickinson, but is looking to break a four-game skid against the Knights, including a 77-65 loss at FDU on December 29, 2016.
NEC PLAYOFF RACE
The Red Flash has clinched at least a Top Five seed in the NEC Tournament, which begins on Wednesday, March 1. After its win over SHU and FDU's loss to Robert Morris, SFU is currently in fourth place, with FDU in fifth place. With a win on Saturday, SFU can clinch a Top Four seed and host its first NEC Tournament Quarterfinals Game at DeGol Arena since 1991, when it won the conference championship.
NEBO NEARING BLOCKS RECORD
Like a lot of opponents this year, Sacred Heart found sophomore forward
Josh Nebo (Houston, Texas/Cypress Lakes) at the rim on Thursday, when he had four blocks. Nebo has become a force when it comes to protecting the rim. After posting 59 blocks as a freshman, Nebo has 69 this year. He is just one away from tying Melvin Scott (2000-01) for the SFU single-season record. Nebo's 128 career blocks rank second all-time at SFU and Nebo is just nine blocks away from tying the program record held by Scott (137, 1996-01). Nebo has four games with five or more blocks this year. Nebo leads NEC with 2.46 blocks per game and ranks 18th in the nation in total blocks and 21st in blocks per game.
ACTION BRAXTON
Braxton is making a strong case for NEC Rookie of the Year honors, earning his seventh NEC Rookie of the Week award last week. He has posted double-digit scoring efforts in 20 games this season and has 15 games with eight or more rebounds. Braxton has posted eight double-doubles, the fourth-most of any Division I freshmen. He is tied for the lead among all NCAA freshmen in rebounds per game (8.8) with UCLA's T.J. Leaf. Braxton averages 1.9 more rebounds per game than any other freshman guard in Division I. The SFU freshman averages 6.7 defensive rebounds per game, the third-most among any Division I guard.
NEC LEADERS
Entering the final regular season game of conference play, Saint Francis owns the NEC's top offense through 28 games, leading the league in scoring (75.6 ppg), field goal percentage (46.2), three pointers made per game (7.9) and three-point percentage (38.4). The Red Flash offense features a balanced attack with

Josh Nebo (Houston, Texas/Cypress Lakes) (12.3) all averaging double-digits in scoring. SFU is the only NEC team with four players averaging double-figures. Individually, Nebo tops the conference in blocks, averaging 2.46 per game, and Blackmon leads in three-point percentage at 47.3.
SFU SETS PROGRAM NEC ROAD WINS RECORD
Saint Francis won its sixth NEC road game of the season last Thursday at CCSU. The 2016-17 team is the first ever in program-history to win six NEC road game in a season since joining the conference in 1981-82. This year's team passed the five NEC road win campaigns of the 1990-91, 1993-94 and 1997-98 squads.
BALANCED ATTACK
The Red Flash has put at least four players in double figures in 18 of 27 games this season and at least three in double figures in 24 games. SFU placed five players in double-figures against SHU, marking the fifth time this season it has accomplished that. SFU had five in double figures in the opener at Saint Bonaventure, while also placing six in double figures against Chatham and five against CCSU, Robert Morris and Sacred Heart.
Braxton (13.3), Blackmon (12.7), King (12.3) and Nebo (12.3) are all averaging double-figures through 28 games.
Of the 144 Division I teams averaging at least 75 points per game, Saint Francis is one of 16 teams with four players averaging at least 12 points per game.
KRIMMEL MOVES INTO SEVENTH ON WINS LIST

Rob Krimmel picked up his 57th career win on Thursday in SFU's 73-64 victory vs. SHU. He is three wins away from tying Dave Magarity (1978-83) for sixth.
YOUTH MOVEMENT
Twelve of the seventeen players on the Saint Francis roster are freshman or sophomore eligibility. Of the 16 players who have appeared a game this year, 12 are freshmen or sophomores. Through 28 games, the group has combined for 1,853 of the team's 2,118 points (87.5 percent) and 4838 of 5675 minutes (85.3 percent). Against SHU, a freshman or sophomore scored 61 of the team's 73 points and the group combined for 163 minutes.
BOMBS AWAY
Saint Francis hit 10 threes against Sacred Heart on Thursday, the sixth time this season hitting 10 or more threes. SFU hit 10 against Duquesne, Marquette, Sacred Heart(2x) and Wagner and 19 vs. Chatham. SFU has hit 8 or more threes in 13 games. The Red Flash is currently leading the NEC with a 38.4 three-point percentage and 7.9 threes per game. SFU hit 50 percent of its three attempts in both of its meetings vs. Robert Morris despite the Colonials entering the games ranked among the top four three-point defenses in the nation.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
Fairleigh Dickinson is 11-17 overall and 9-8 in NEC play after falling 77-76 at Robert Morris on Thursday.
Juniors Darian Anderson and Stephan Jiggetts led the Knights with 17 points each. Anderson hit 5-of-11 shots, and went six-of-seven from the free-throw line, to go with six rebounds and five assists. Jiggetts went 13-of-13 from the foul line. Sophomore Darnell Edge hit seven-of-eight shots for 15 points, while junior Earl Potts Jr. had 12 points and six rebounds. FDU shot 54.5 percent from the field (24-for-44) and 40 percent from three (4-of-10).
Anderson leads FDU with 16.9 points and 3.6 rebounds, while shooting 41 percent from the floor. Jiggetts averages 13.6 points and 4.3 assists per contest. Potts Jr. is averaging 12.1 points and 4.4 rebounds, while sophomore Mike Holloway is contributing 11.4 points and 6.3 rebounds.
