LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis Men's Tennis team is set to compete at the Toledo Invitational this weekend. The hidden-dual format tournament will begin on Friday, September 29 and conclude on Saturday.
The Red Flash returns to action after a week off following the Western & Southern Collegiate Invite, hosted by Northern Kentucky. Saint Francis will look for a strong performance this weekend after some struggles in Cincinnati.
Saint Francis will compete against players from Case Western-Reserve, Detroit Mercy, Duquesne, Toledo, Wayne State, Western Michigan and Youngstown State. SFU will combine with Chicago State this weekend. On Friday, SFU is set to take on Wayne State at 10 a.m. and Duquesne at 4 p.m.

Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) is 1-2 in singles this Fall. He reached the Semifinals of his draw at the Bucknell Fall Invite, but fell in the first round of the WSCI. Freshman
Sebastian Pinos (Quito, Ecuador/Compuinformatica) is also 1-2 in singles, earning a victory at the Bucknell Fall Invite.
Sophomore
Franz Luna (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Laurel Springs) and freshman
Charles Morkel (Cape Town, South Africa/Paul Roos Gymnasium) are looking for their first singles wins of the Fall.
Sophomore
Arturo Dell'eva (Verona, Italy/Sanchez Casal Tennis Academy) and junior
Jan Vit Suntar (Cerklje na Gorenjskem, Slovenia/Gimnazija Kranj) are still looking to make their Fall debuts.
Foo-Kune and Pinos are 2-1 in doubles. The duo reached the Semifinals of their draw at the Bucknell Fall Invite. Foo-Kune and Morkel paired up at the WSCI but fell in the first round.
Luna and Pinos went 1-1 in doubles at the WSCI, reaching their draw Quarterfinals.
