Set One

Saint Francis and Loyola started the first set evenly matched before the Ramblers jumped out to a 4-0 run which forced Saint Francis to call its first timeout of the set. After the timeout, kills by Brandon Buck (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) and Cole Thompson (Los Alamitos, Calif./Los Alamitos) helped the Red Flash close within one point and which made LUC call its first timeout. The Ramblers would eventually close the set on a 7-1 run to take the set, 25-20.

Set Two

The Ramblers carried the momentum from the first set to the second, taking a 10-6 lead. They continued to apply pressure, as they won the second set, 25-15.

Set Three

The Red Flash would take an early 5-3 lead to open the third set. Loyola would keep things close and take the lead as the set went into a media timeout, 15-13. A pair of SFU miscues would allow the Ramblers to go on a 7-0 run which was a lead that held up as they went on to win the set, 25-18.

Saint Francis will look to bounce back next Thursday, as they will travel to Columbus, Ohio to take on No. 3 Ohio State, the defending National Champions.
