Men's Volleyball Falls to No. 3 Ohio State, 3-0

Columbus, Ohio.- The Saint Francis Men's Volleyball team hung around with No. 3 Ohio State on Thursday night at St. Johns Arena, but the Buckeyes prevailed, 3-0. The Flash fell in three narrow sets, 25-23, 25-21, and 25-21.
With the loss, Saint Francis falls to 4-5 on the season, while Ohio State improves to 4-2.
Stephen Braswell (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) led the Red Flash with 12 kills on Thursday night, while posting a .370 hitting percentage.
Joseph Koszelak (North Tonawanda, N.Y./St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute) dished out 24 assists on the night as he and Braswell both had 7 digs each.
Brandon Buck (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) chipped in with 7 kills. Jake Hanes paced Ohio State with 19 kills.
Set One:
After a back-and-forth opening, the Red Flash rattled off three points to take a 5-4 lead. SFU's lead would be short lived, as the Buckeyes answered back with a 5-0 run to give them a 9-5 lead. The Flash eventually climbed back in the set off of a Braswell kill to take a 12-11 lead. The rest of the match remained close but OSU closed out the set on a 3-1 run to win 25-23.
Set Two:
The Buckeyes opened the second set with a 3-0 lead and contained it until SFU battled back to knot things up at 10. Both teams battled with each other until the Buckeyes pulled away with a 25-21 win.
Set Three:
Backs against the wall, the Red Flash jumped out to a 13-10 lead in the third set as

Stephen Braswell (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) led the charge with 6 combined kills. A few miscues by the Flash let OSU go on a run and take the lead. They eventually held that lead to take the set, 25-21.
Saint Francis returns to action tomorrow night at DeGol Arena as they take on Queens University of Charlotte at 8:30 p.m. Live stats and video will be provided for tomorrow's match.
