Set One
The Red Flash and the Golden Eagles open the first set tightly contested as both teams would battle back and forth for the first 14 points. Kills by Brandon Buck (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) and Keith Kegerreris eventually helped SFU go on a run forcing UC to call its first timeout. Out of the timeout, SFU held its lead until UC battled back to take a 21-20 lead forcing SFU to call its first timeout. A kill by Buck and a few service errors would help SFU to win the first set, 25-21.

Set Two
SFU jumped out to a commanding 7-3 lead after a pair of service errors from the Golden Eagles. The Red Flash would hold their lead for most of the set until UC would battle back to tie things up at 17. Both teams would exchange points until UC went on a 3-0 run forcing match point (24-22) and a SFU timeout. Charleston would go on and take set two, 25-22.

Set Three
The third set experienced lead changes all the way to the end as the Golden Eagles would eventually pull out the set, 26-24.

Set Four
The fourth set opened with a few back and forth point exchanges but Braswell, Buck and Thompson would help give SFU some confidence and momentum with a 15-9 lead. The Flash would never look back and cruise on to a 25-19 victory.

Set Five
Tied at 2-2, UC came out on fire as they jump out to a 5-1 lead but the Flash would not give up as they climbed back to take the lead, 9-8. As both teams keep things close, UC would go on a 3-0 run to take the set and match, 15-13.
