Loretto, Pa.- The Saint Francis men's volleyball team fell to George Mason in four sets on Saturday night at DeGol Arena. The Flash fell 13-15, 14-25, 25-15, and 26-28.

The loss drops the Flash to 7-10 overall and 2-3 in conference play, while George Mason improves to 8-7 and 4-0 in the EIVA.

Set One
George Mason got off to a 7-3 lead to begin the opening set. SFU would go on a run to get within two points (7-5) but another rally would give the Patriots a 20-10 lead forcing SFU to call a timeout. GMU would cruise out of the timeout to win the set, 25-13.

Set Two
The second set opened with five ties as both teams battled back and forth. Christian Malias and Brain Negron would provide some momentum for the Patriot offense as they would go on a 13-1 run to take the set, 25-14.

Third Set Â
Down 2-0, the Flash looks to bounce back as they opened the third set with a 6-2 lead. They would eventually extend its lead to 11-4 forcing the Patriots to call its first timeout of the set. Out of the timeout, the Flash would continue to apply pressure as they would cruise to a 25-15 victory.

Set Four
After a big third set for the Flash, both teams would exchange points for most of the set until SFU would go on a 3-0 run to give them a 20-17 lead. GMU would answer back and tie things up at 22. The rest of the way went back and forth until GMU pulled out a close one, 28-26.

The Red Flash will travel on the road the next two weekends as their first stop will be in New Jersey to take on Princeton and NJIT. Both matches are set to begin at 7 p.m.
