OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Saint Francis Softball team rallied for three runs in the seventh to earn a 4-3 win over UConn on Sunday to close out the OSU Hall of Fame Classic.Â
Jordan Frank (DuBois, Pa./DuBois Central Catholic) hit a go-ahead two-run triple in the seventh to give SFU its first lead since the second inning. The Red Flash improved to 14-12 this season, while UConn dropped to 9-15.

Sophomore
Abby Trahan (Kaplan, La./Kaplan) picked up her 11th win of the season, throwing her 13th complete game. Trahan allowed three runs, just two earned, on five hits. She walked one batter and struckout three. In 21 appearances, Trahan already has 103 strikeouts this year, matching her total from the 2017 season.

The Huskies started Marybeth Olson in the circle. She gave up four runs on five hits, while striking out nine and walking two in seven innings.

Saint Francis scored four runs on five hits. Frank's triple drove in two runs to lead the offense. McKee contributed an RBI single and
Mikayla Bower (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) added a single and an RBI.Â
Madison Cabell (Ivor, Va./Southampton) and
Jordan Seneca (Plum, Pa./Plum) each had double, with Seneca scoring a run. Out of Frank's six hits this season, four are extra-base hits.

UConn tallied three runs on five hits. Carli Cutler collected two hits, including a double, and scored a run. Reese Guevara had a hit and a run, while Olivia Sappington and Samantha Barnett each had an RBI single.

The Red Flash pushed a run across in the top of the second. With one out, Seneca lined a double down the line in left.  She stole third before Bower grounded out to the right side of the infield to allow Seneca to score and give SFU a 1-0 lead.

UConn responded with two runs in the bottom of the third. After a double by Cutler and an infield single by Guevarra, a single to left by Olivia Sappington brought home Cutler. Barnett followed with a single to center to score Guevarra and give UConn a 2-1 advantage.

The Huskies added a run in the bottom of the fifth. After a one-out single by Cutler, a groundout by Guevarra pushed pinch-runner Kelli Bates to third. Two batters later, a grounder by Samantha Barnett was misplayed to allow Bates to score. UConn led 3-1 after five innings.

Saint Francis rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh. With one out, Bower lined a single to left.Â
Kassidy Troxell (Navarre, Ohio/Perry) drew a walk to put runners on first and second. Two batters later, McKee singled to left to drive in pinch-runner
MeKenzie Saban (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills). Battling to a 3-2 count, Frank roped a line drive over the centerfielder for a triple to plate pinch-runner
Halle Marion (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) and McKee and give the Red Flash a 4-3 lead.

The Red Flash travels to Arkansas next weekend for the Woo Pig Classic, hosted by the Razorbacks. Saint Francis begins the tournament on Friday, March 16 with matchups against Omaha (3:30 p.m. ET) and Arkansas (8:30 p.m. ET). The Razorbacks are 16-3 this season.
