SOPHOMORE (2018) – NEC Pitcher of the Year… NFCA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team… First Team All-NEC… Appeared in 46 games, including 39 starts and 29 complete games… Went 28-12 with a 2.55 ERA… In 255.2 innings, allowed 210 hits, 117 runs (93 earned) and 69 walks, while striking out 186. Allowed an opposing average of .217… Set SFU season records for wins, appearances and innings while finishing three strikeouts away from an SFU season mark and one win away from the NEC season record… Led the NEC in wins and appearances. FRESHMAN (2017) – NEC Rookie Of The Year… NFCA All-Region Third Team… Appeared in 35 games in the circle, tied for the third-most in a season at SFU… Ranked 60th in Division I in hits allowed per seven innings (5.3) and 66th in walks allowed per seven innings (1.5)… Went 15-4 with three saves and six complete games in 35 appearances (14 starts). Had a 2.45 ERA in 128.2 innings, allowing 56 runs (45 earned) on 97 hits, striking out 103 batters and walking 27. Held opposing batters to a .204 average… In NEC play, went 3-0 with a 0.31 ERA in eight appearances (one start). In 22.2 innings, gave up three runs (one earned) on eight hits and four walks, while striking out 34 of 76 batters faced. Allowed an opposing batting average of .105… Had six appearances with four or more shutout innings… Threw a No-Hitter against Cleveland State (2/19), going all six innings, with five strikeouts and was one error away from a Perfect Game… In college debut, went six innings and struck out seven batters at Campbell (2/10)… Earned a win against Maryland Eastern Shore (2/11), going five innings and allowing three hits and an unearned run and striking out eight batters… Threw 6.2 shutout innings against Fordham (2/17) to earn the win. Followed with four strikeouts in two perfect innings in game two… Threw 5.2 shutout innings against Sacred Heart (4/29), with six strikeouts, to pick up a win… In the NEC Tournament, threw 3.1 shutout innings and struck out four in the first game against Robert Morris (5/11) and threw three perfect innings for a save in the second game against Wagner (5/12)… In the NCAA Regional game against South Carolina (5/20), threw all seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out two.
BEFORE SFU – Trahan played at Kaplan High School for head coach Shay Herpin, leading the Pirates to a state title in 2016… As a senior, Trahan was named a Small School All-American by CBS/MaxPreps.com after recording 301 strikeouts in 163 innings. She went 23-5 with a 0.73 ERA and tallied six No-Hitters. At the plate, Trahan batted .482 with seven doubles, six homers and 28 RBI… Named Louisiana AAA Player of the Year and First Team All-State… Selected by the Acadiana Advocate as its Most Outstanding Player for the second straight year… As a junior, Trahan earned All-State honors after leading Kaplan to the state title game and striking out 197 batters in 137.1 innings. She posted a 0.87 ERA… Trahan led her travel team, the Wichita Mustangs, to a National Championship in 2015.
PERSONAL – The daughter of Glen and Sue Trahan, Abby plans to major in History at Saint Francis.
