LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis Men's Tennis team is ready for two matches in New York City this weekend. The Red Flash meets St. John's on Friday at 9 p.m. at the National Tennis Center in Queens. Saint Francis takes on St. Francis Brooklyn on Sunday in its NEC opener at 9 a.m.

The Red Flash, led by Head Coach
Rob Castille, is 2-8 this Spring and resumes action after a two-week break following its 4-3 win over Northern Kentucky on February 25. Saint Francis earned singles wins by
Franz Luna (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Laurel Springs),
Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)),
Samuel Miller (Smithfield, R.I./Homeschool) and
Eduardo Garcia (Toluca, Mexico/Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico) in the victory over the Norse.

Luna leads the team with a 6-4 mark this Spring. His six wins have all come at No. 1. Foo-Kune is 5-4 this Spring, playing most of his matches at No. 2, while
Sebastian Pinos (Quito, Ecuador/Compuinformatica) has three wins, playing mostly at No. 3.

Garcia owns two wins this Spring at No. 5 and Miller earned his first win of the year, at No. 4, against NKU. Junior
Chad Allender (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) is looking for his first win of the season.

In doubles, Luna and Pinos are 5-5, playing all of their matches at No. 2. Foo-Kune and Garcia have a win at No. 1.

St. John's is 8-3 this Spring. Last weekend, the Red Storm defeated Siena, 7-0. Their other seven wins include Sacred Heart (7-0), Wagner (6-1), Quinnipiac (6-1), South Carolina State (6-1), Charleston (5-2), Fairleigh Dickinson (6-1) and Fordham (7-0). Luka Sucevic is 9-2 at No. 1 singles, while Alan Nunez is 8-1 at No. 2 and Andrei Crapcenco is 8-0 at No. 3.

St. Francis Brooklyn is 3-8 this season, with an 0-1 mark in the NEC. The Terriers own wins over Rider (5-2), Saint Peter's (4-2) and Lafayette (6-1). St. Francis Brooklyn fell 7-0 against Bryant in its NEC opener on February 16. Alejandro Ridruejo is 6-5 at No. 1 and Francisco Adolfo is 6-4, playing most of his matches at No. 3.
