Brandon Mihalo (Windsor, Ontario, Canada/Holy Names Catholic)'s t-8th finish, the Saint Francis men's golf team grinded its way to a fifth-place finish in the 13-team Lonnie Barton Invitational at LPGA International Golf Club in St. Augustine, Florida.
The Red Flash placed third out of eight NEC competitors, finishing three strokes behind third-place Bryant and two shots behind fourth-place Sacred Heart.
As a team, Saint Francis recorded a 312 total on day two, 11 strokes higher than its day one score. The team stroke average on day two was 319.6, over 12 strokes higher than the average of 307.8 on day one.
Mihalo followed a first round 71 with a second round 78 in difficult conditions Tuesday to finish +5 over the two days on the par 72 layout.
Freshman
Avery Papalia (KernersvilleNC/East Forsyth) posted SFU's round of the day with a four-over 76 to finish with a two-day total of 152 and a t-12 finish.
