Taylor Nesmith (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) scored 1:05 apart in the second half to lead Saint Francis to its third win in its last four games, a 2-1 win at Kent State.

"Our team showed great mental toughness after a long 1,600 mile bus trip," said Ceretta. "We got off the bus ready to play and win. Now we have to prepare for a tough conference weekend."
How It Happened
The game didn't see its first goal until the 55th minute, then saw three in a span of 1:13. Olton opened the scoring with her second career goal and was followed by Nesmith's fourth goal of the season. Nesmith also collected the assist on Olton's goal to finish with a team-high three points. Kent State answered with a goal moments after Nesmith's to cut the deficit in half. The Golden Flashes threatened late but were spurned from an equalizer thanks to two saves in the final five minutes from senior goalkeeper

- Nesmith capped a fantastic week with her second consecutive three-point game. The junior also had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Saint Louis on Sunday.
- Seniors Elizabeth Dyer (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) and Claudia Marzec (Whitinsville, Mass./Moses Brown School) split halves in goal. Dyer kept Kent State off the board with five saves while Marzec stopped six of seven second half shots on goal.
- Olton and freshman Atina Pagani (Concepcion Del Uruguay/Instituto Santa Teresito) led SFU with two shots and two shots on goal.
- Saint Francis has won four games away from home, its most since 2015.
