Women's Tennis travels to play at Youngstown State and Duquesne

Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis women's tennis (1-1) returns to the courts with matches at Youngstown State on Saturday, January 26 at 3 p.m. and Duquesne on Sunday, January 27 at 1 p.m.

The Red Flash are coming off a 4-3 win over Morgan State this past weekend following a 6-1 defeat at Navy in the season-opener. Both of SFU's opponents this weekend haven't played a match yet in the spring season with Youngstown State opening its campaign on Friday at Pittsburgh before facing off with the Red Flash on Saturday. Duquesne opens its season on Sunday by hosting Saint Francis prior to hosting Youngstown State as the second part of a doubleheader.

Freshman Romina Cutipa (Huancayo, Peru/San Juan Bosco) is the lone SFU player to not drop a match this season as the No. 5 singles player picked up wins in both of her opening matches at Navy and Morgan State. No. 1 singles player Lucia Seigford (Madrid, Spain/Mirasur) is 1-1 on the season as is No. 2 singles player Laura Gutierrez (Bogota, Colombia/Cibercolegio UCN) and No. 3 Stephanie Miller (Washington, D.C./St. John's College High School). No. 4 singles player Raksha Bode (Reunion, Fla./Florida Virtual School) is still searching for her first singles win of the season after dropping both matches to open the season.

In doubles play, the No. 1 doubles team of Bode and Seigford are 1-1, while Gutierrez and Miller are 1-1 at No. 2 doubles.
