Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis men's soccer (8-5, 5-2 NEC) travels to Mount St. Mary's (6-8, 2-4 NEC) for its final road contest of the regular season on Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m.

Scouting Mount St. Mary's
After a promising start to their NEC campaign, the Mountaineers have struggled lately, losing three straight matches. Mount St. Mary's dropped a 3-0 decision at first-place Merrimack this past Sunday. The Mountaineers previously fell to Sacred Heart and Bryant. Yann Kouemi leads the team offensively with 17 points on eight goals and one assist.

Series History
Saint Francis is 9-12-4 in the all-time series history against Mount St. Mary's. The Red Flash won last season's meeting 3-2 on Oct. 7, 2018 in Loretto.

NEC Playoff Picture
Saint Francis currently sits in second place in the NEC standings with 15 points. The Red Flash trail only Merrimack (18 points), which can win the regular season title, but is unable to qualify for the conference tournament and postseason due to its NCAA reclassification period. LIU is in third place with 13 points, but just like Merrimack, has three games remaining, while Saint Francis has only two contests left in the regular season. Fourth-place Bryant (12 points) and fifth-place Robert Morris (10 points) each have two games remaining.

SFU aspires to host Northeast Conference Championships
The 2019 NEC Championships will be held at the site of the league's top finisher that doesn't include Merrimack. The four-team playoff will take place Nov. 15-17. The only time SFU has previously hosted the conference championship was 2014.

Red Flash offense continues to produce the numbers
The Saint Francis offense is among the league's best in several statistical categories. The Red Flash rank first in points (73), second in goals (24) and first in assists (25).

Red-hot Rosa
Junior midfielder Lucas Rosa (Atibaia, Brazil/COC Atibaia) leads the NEC this season in goals (9) and game-winning goals (4). Rosa has connected on all three penalty kick attempts, including the game's only goal in a 1-0 win over Sacred Heart this past Sunday.
