Brooklyn, NY- The Saint Francis Swim team heads to Brooklyn New York this weekend for an NEC matchup against LIU on Saturday, November 2
nd starting at 10:30 a.m. The Red Flash previously competed against the sharks at the Highlander Invitational on October 11
th and 12
th. After a three-week hiatus, the women look to continue their three-win win-streak.
Quote from senior Erin O'Neil: "We are excited to get in the pool and have another opportunity to race and compete this weekend. Since LIU is in our conference, it is a great chance to see where we are in comparison to a team we will see at the end of the season. Also, we have already swam against LIU so we can determine areas where we have improved on since the beginning of the season."
Synopsis- This Saturday the Red Flash take on a familiar foe, the LIU sharks, in Brooklyn, NY. They will be competing in the 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1,000 free races. As well as the 100s and 200s of all strokes, the 200 IM, 200 medley relay, and the 400 free relay.
Some notable swimmers racing this weekend include senior

st in the 400-yd IM with a time of 4:38.05 three weekends ago.

Another quote on this weekend's meet from fellow senior Emily Graziano (Jeannette, Pa./Penn Trafford): "LIU Brooklyn is always a great team to race as they are one of our Conference competitors, and they have a great group of swimmers that always provide exciting competition for us! Saturday's meet is our first travel dual meet of the year, so I think the team is excited to get on the road and compete with another fellow NEC team!"
This will be the last meet on the schedule before the Red Flash's mid-season taper.
Races kick off starting at 10:30 on Saturday at the LIU Pool. Â
