Loretto, PA- After an impressive start to the 2019-2020 season, a couple Saint Francis University Red Flash runners were recognized for weekly awards. 

Fresham Nickolas Hyde (Somerset, P.A. /Somerset) was recognized as the men's NEC Rookie of the Week for Week one after his first place performance at the Bison Opener this past weekend at Bucknell University. Hyde broke the school record putting the shot at 17.41 m (57' 1.50"). This mark as well puts him at the 21st overall on the NCAA D1 leader board. 

Sophomore Mylan Crews (West Alexandria, OH./West Alexandria-Twin Valley) was recognized as the women's track Athlete of the Week for week one after her performance this past weekend at the Bison Opener. Crews sprinted her way to an ECAC Championships qualifying time in the season opener. She competed in the 60 m dash final in 7.69 seconds.
